He graduated Kingston University in 1982 where he got a degree in fashion design and without further postponing, set out to create his own clothing collection. After collaborating with established brands like Joseph Tricot, Emporio Armani and Fiorucci, Richmond gained a lot of experience and made a name for himself in a very short time.
In 1984, together with Maria Cornejo, he founded the Richmond-Cornejo label, which brought him even more fame. The unfathomable knowledge he has obtained from the fashion schools of London and Milan makes John Richmond one of the elite designers of the modern world.
